Lucky?
I asked a few people lately if they had one thing that they keep or have with them that they consider lucky. I sure got a lot of responses. My boyfriend has his necklace, my sister has her phone, my friends has a coin that he keeps in his shoe, and my other friend has a lucky pipe. It is interesting how people consider certain inanimate objects lucky. All these people believe in one item, that could possibly be worthless to the economy but mean all the luck in the world. Unfortunately, I couldn't stop thinking that I don't have lucky charm. Personally, I don't think I even have luck. This year, the eighteenth year of my life, it seems as though my luck has stopped or ran out. Is that possible? Does everyone have a certain amount of lucky that they can use? Maybe so. But after our luck has run out, what happens next? We just stay unlucky all the time? I don't know if I would be able to handle the way things are going now, continuously. Or maybe we make our own luck, and something in our lives, at any point in the time could be the bad luck charm. I can't help but wonder, where did all my luck go?
