Money

More money, more problems.
Who said that? I believe it was a rapper. But I'm not in the mood to Google to see if it was Biggie Smalls or Tupac or whom else.

Why is it that I'm only 21 and super stressed out about everything that I have to pay for? I feel like I'm too young for this.
I almost want to hand over all my expenses to my family because at this rate, I'll never be able to relax and breathe and get everything under control.

I need to figure out how much I'm making and what I'm doing with it.
The tips that I make, I need to put away for a rainy day or a day that I'm in trouble.

To do list, TONIGHT:
- Clean bedroom
- Clean kitchen
- Take a bath
- Study

To do, TOMORROW:
- wake up early, work out.
- go to class
- meet for group meeting
- stay & do study notes all night long
- go home
- eat dinner
- review

I'll let you know if I survive.

I Will Wait

Hopeless.

There's nothing I can do to make you feel better, to make you feel whole again. There's nothing I can say that would comfort you and make you smile like you used to.

I can't change any of that, only time will help the pain fade. And for you, I will be here for you, no matter what. I'll always be your best friend. I'll always wait for you.

The Frugal Student

I am not a frugal person... Ha! Let's be honest; yes I am. I am a student, 3rd year and I have had much experience in being broke. Well, let's say, much experience in looking at my Scotiabank account and seeing little to no money. Like... not even enough to buy gum. No joke.

If you're a student or someone who is trying to save, I've got some handy dandy tips that you may know already, but seeing them will definitely help and make sense.

Don't live within your means. Live below them. Simple, the key is to spend less than you're bringing in. Instead of spending exactly what you have coming in - leave some room to spare. Events or situations will always come up and you don't want that to be a reason to go in debt. Plus, you'll feel safer and more secure with a little extra in your back pocket.

Rethink what you're spending on. Is it a need or a want? I used to justify buying furniture or something decorative to make my living space more comfy. But the reality of it is, is that you won't be living in that space for very long and you only really need it currently. When you're more secure financially you'll be able to spend that money they way you want to you.

Saving won't make you richer. But you will be more stress free. Although it is true that saving money in the bank or under your pillow won't make you any richer - it's there when you need it. And you never know when you'll need an extra 20 to make your ends meet. Or have a beer with your friends at the local pub or concert.

Check back or average out. Check back on how much you're bringing in and spending. This is one of the most basic rules to ensuring you don't go broke, ever. If you're up to date on what is going on, with exact numbers you can alter your plans and make sure that you're not over spending. Or that you're even secure for the future. Not everything is necessary in life, remember that. You need shelter & water. Those extra GB's on your phone bill isn't necessary. Remember, text messaging is unlimited & usually free. Or... here's a though: call someone.

To be or not to be?

To be or not to be? It has been a question that has plagued the minds of children around the globe for many years. Shakespeare wrote it, and I imagine that he would be overwhelmed by the very thought that his words are being taught to children around the world. I also imagine that he could not fathom the amount of time that question has boggled the brains of millions. Whether it be children who are working on a school project, a person contemplating a decision for their future or someone simply acting out his play. I would lie if I were to say that it has not crossed my mind man times over the years. However, today it crosses my mind in terms of a relationship.

As much as I hate to be typical and talk about boys or a relationship it isn't so much on the topic of being in a relationship with someone rather it be about why we are in relationships.
Why are people in relationships? Why be or not be in one? For this, I shall conduct a study.

Foolish

Just because we are young doesn't mean that we are invincible.

But that doesn't mean that we aren't.

Fun.

As a student, I understand the student life. Not completely - or fully, but I do have some sort of perspective and understanding as to how we think and as to why we do things.

I'm not saying I'm a guru of the student mind or that I even know as to how it really works. But what I do know, is that we are completely unstable... For the most part. There is not a student that I know that doesn't like to go out with their friends and get drunk or smoke weed. I'm not a smoker - nor will I ever be. But I am a drinker... When I can afford it and or when I feel irresponsible enough.

The silliest part about being a student is that no matter how broke we are, there always seems to be money that enables our drinking habits or allows us to go out and have fun. There may not always be money for weed or a person to roll a joint or someone who has a lighter - but alcohol is never an issue.

Even if we don't have money, we know someone with money; that friend who is just tipsy enough to feel generous when they're the only one feeling good so they're willing to give to the "needy poor student." In that aspect, having that label is not always a bad thing. Even parents, they are probably the best enablers - giving us money for grocery's. But the best part is that - they don't know where it goes!

I'm not proud to fit this role, nor am I proud to believe that sometimes alcohol fills me better than groceries. I am not forever young, but at this age my train of thought is that I have my youth - this is the time to mess up if I want to. I don't have a boring life, which will make for memorable memories.
